Thank you to Glyn and Alice Walters for the use of their property. If you wish to attend this event, please confirm your attendance by Sunday May 29. If you are contributing food to share please do this by May 29 as well.
On the day of the event, please drive up to the barn to drop off your cooler, then go back down the driveway to park on either side of the driveway at the bottom of the hill. DO NOT unload your bike. It stays with your car. Prior to departure there will be a dedication of the ride to Roman and a moment of silence at 10:00 am. Please arrive in time so this quiet moment is not disturbed.
In an effort to reduce garbage and do our part to protect our environment, the committee asks that club members bring the following items: plates, cutlery, napkins, whatever you would like to drink for the meal (alcohol is permitted if you wish); also lawn chairs, hat and sunscreen. Just dig in your cupboard for a plastic bag for your plate etc. Following the meal, compost bins, recycling and garbage will be available for clean up, your plate and utensils go back in the bag for your dishwasher.
The club will supply both beef and veggie burgers, buns, mustard, ketchup and relish, coffee, cream and sugar. .
Please sign up by May 29 to augment our meal with salads and desserts! Bring this food in a cooler as refrigerated storage is not available.
Club members are asked to assist with clean up. Please note the event will end between 3:30 and 4:00 pm.
In the event of rainy weather, should the ride portion of the event be cancelled, a notice will be posted on the club website by 8:00 am on the day of the event. We expect the picnic portion will go forward and will post details of the change at the time the decision is made.
RSVP here to let us know if you (spouses/partners welcome) are attending and what you can contribute to the pot luck.
Safe riding. We would love to see a big turnout for this event!
