2019 Rice Lake Tour

Meet at: The municipal parking lot located at 4960 Rice Lake Dr N of Oakridges Dr S of Bewdley.

Date: Saturday June 1

Departure Time: 7:30 am

Tour Host: Pierre

Ride Length: 101 km

The degree of difficulty is an 8 out of 10 with over 1000m of climbing. We will ride as a group at a pace to accommodate any and all riders.

Make sure you bring 2 water bottles.

We will stop at the Bridgewater Cafe in Hastings for a snack.

Bring a lunch or grab something in Bewdley to refuel after the ride.

2018 Millbrook or Bust in Reverse

Meet at: Enniskillen Public School in the village of Enniskillen

We cycle over to Millbrook for a stop at the Pastry Peddlar.

2018 Year End Banquet

Held at: Liverpool John’s, 1294 Kingston Rd, Pickering.

Date: Saturday, November 10

Time: Doors open 6:30, Dinner will be served at 7:15

Celebrate a great cycling season with a dinner. Its all happening on the second floor (reserved for the DCC) of Liverpool John’s. There will be door prizes, videos and award presentations. Appetizers supplied by the club.

Dinner Music/VideoMusic supplied by Sounds Good DJ productions (Tom Blainey).

Who can Attend? All DCC members and their significant others can attend.

2020 Ride 4 United Way

Meet at: 380 Taunton Rd E Whitby Behind Sinclair High School in Whitby

Date: Aug 16

Start Time: 160 km Start 7:30 am Mass Start 8:15 am – Check in opens 630am. Whitby Community Ride – 10 AM. Please arrive early to obtain your bib number/wrist band/route maps. Be ready with the rest of the DCC team in the staging area, start line, by 7:15 am (160) or 8:00 am (100 or 60)

Route Options: 60km, 100km, 160km, Gravel Ride

Route Features: Each route is well marked and supported by volunteers. There are water and food stops at various points along the route and roving mechanical support. At the end of the ride you will be welcomed back by food, music and your finisher medal! Showers and massages are also available.

2018 DCC AGM

Monday, October 29 please come out to the Annual General Meeting to be held upstairs at Liverpool Johns, 1294 Kingston Rd, Pickering.

Doors open at 6:45 pm, meeting starts at 7:00, refreshments will be available.

Draw for one free DCC membership for 2019 and a draw for a cat5gear cyclist case donated by Impala Cycle.

The financial report will be tabled and discussed.

Ballots will be passed out and collected for the cyclist of the year award.

The following executive positions are available for election:

Treasurer

Secretary 

Ride Coordinator

If you have a desire to give back to the club and wish to run for any of the executive positions, send an email to durhamcycling@gmail.com stating which position you would like to run for. Your name will be added to the above list. This page will be updated prior to the AGM. You can also declare your candidacy at the meeting.

Proxy Voting – A member (the Principal) who is unable to attend an Annual General Meeting or an Extra Ordinary Meeting may assign their vote to another member (the Proxy) who will attend the meeting and vote on behalf of the Principal, provided that: the Principal notifies the Executive at least five (5) days in advance of the meeting and names the Proxy. Make sure to come out to this important meeting! It’s a great forum to discuss the highs and lows of the past season and to have a say in what direction the club should be headed. The future of our club depends on member participation and involvement.

2016 DCC Century

REGISTRATION: To participate in the century ride please fill out and submit the form found by scrolling down on this page. Registration closes 6:00 pm Wednesday, August 3.

Meet at: Meet at the Harold Bell Memorial Park, on Goodwood Rd. in Goodwood.

Date: August 7.

Arrive at the park: 6:30 am

Departure Time: 7:00 am sharp

Tour Hosts: 2016 Club Century Committee and the SAG support team.

Ride Lengths: 100 km, 120 km and 160 km

SAG Support: The SAG wagons will supply water, granola bars, fruit and other snacks. Make and bring a lunch and the SAG will carry it for you to the lunch stop.

Meet at Harold Bell Memorial Park for the 2015 DCC Century Ride. Distances available for all levels of rider. Arrive at the park 6:30, depart 7 am sharp. Afterwards we will have a post-ride party at the park. The club will supply pizza, soft drinks and coffee.

All rides go to Lake Simcoe and back.
